TWWM: Human Boundary
In the distance far Trees make way for hills of brick How can they live there Inside, her size is Mighty, towering over House and human It is grey and pale Square and dreary, hard asphalt How can they live here Deeper still, houses crowd But in the street cracks abound Grass, weeds, breaking up In the windows too Pops of color, red, green, blue Flowers aplenty Lawns and gardens, soon Neat and private, fenced in close Human boundary Further yet, surprise Stone makes way for grass and tree Placed with a purpose Close, but far enough From noise and bustle and stress Birdsong in her ears Water, ivy, wood, bloom Pathways wind through fields of green Made, grown, side by side A river cuts through Stone and street and park and path Here before this place Honored still, and she Thinks then, humans after all Are of nature too
